krka National Park in the off-season: €7 tickets, opening hours and how to reach Skradinski buk in winter
From November to March a Krka ticket costs €7, the park closes earlier and the boats and bus to Skradinski buk don't run. Here is how to plan your visit.

From November until the end of March, Krka is a calmer place than in summer: fewer people on the trails, shorter opening hours and a ticket that costs a fraction of the summer price. The catch is that some of the transport visitors are used to doesn't run in winter, so it helps to know how things work before you set off towards Šibenik.
what a winter ticket costs
According to the official Krka National Park price list for 2026, the lowest prices apply in January, February, March, November and December:
| All land sites | Roški slap and other individual sites only | |
|---|---|---|
| Adults | €7.00 | €7.00 |
| Children 7–18 and students | €4.00 | €4.00 |
| Children under 7 | free | free |
For comparison, the ticket for all land sites costs €40 for adults from June to September. The 2027 price list keeps the same winter prices. One ticket is valid for one visit to all land sites in the park, and you can also buy it in the official online shop.
opening hours and holidays
Skradinski buk and Roški slap are open from 9:00 to 16:00 from November to February, and until 17:00 in March. Manojlovački slapovi (Manojlovac Falls), Burnum (a Roman military camp site) and Stinice are not open to visitors in this period, and Oziđana pećina (Walled Cave) is closed too.
Around the holidays, special hours apply: on 24 and 31 December the park is open until 12:00, on 25 and 26 December it is closed, and on 1 January only the Lozovac entrance is open.
getting to skradinski buk when the boats aren't running
According to the price list, the Skradin – Skradinski buk boat, the Lozovac – Skradinski buk bus, boat excursions and visits to Visovac (the island monastery) are available from 1 April to 31 October. In winter you choose between two entrances.
Lozovac. The footpath from the entrance down to Skradinski buk is 875 metres long. The park says that in winter visitors may also drive in with their own car, and parking at Lozovac is free all year round.
Skradin. A walking and cycling path, 3.4 km long, runs from Skradinski most (the Skradin bridge) to Skradinski buk; tickets are sold at the reception by the bridge. Before you go, call the Skradin office (+385 22 201 745) to check that this entrance is open.
At the falls themselves, the circular educational trail is 1,900 metres long and is walked in one direction only. Along the way you'll see restored watermills where old crafts are demonstrated, an ethno-village and the remains of the Krka hydroelectric plant from 1895. Swimming at Skradinski buk is not allowed.

tips
- Start early. With closing at 16:00 and no boat between the sites, you'll drive to Roški slap (via Drniš or Laškovica), which leaves little time to see both waterfalls in one day.
- Give Roški slap an hour or two. The main falls are 22.5 metres high, a 1,360-metre circular trail crosses the Ogrlice ("necklaces", a series of small cascades), and old watermills line the left bank.
- Dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes, especially after rain.
- Your dog can come along, on a leash.
- The same logic applies to other parks: cheaper and quieter in winter, but some things close. See also our guide to Plitvice Lakes in the off-season.
